The 1V8 crew of the top-ranked Trinity College men’s rowing team claimed the 2025 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Division III Varsity 8+ National Championship at the IRA Championships in Pennsauken, New Jersey, on May 31.
As a team, the Bantams finished second overall for the points trophy with 48 points.
The Bantams’ 1V8 secured the program’s first national championship victory with a time of 5:40.360, besting team champions Tufts University by nearly two seconds (5:42.030).
The Trinity 1V8 crew consists of coxswain Alenka Doyle ’26, Wyatt Mills ’26, Jack Carr ’25, Quin Woods ’23, M’25, James McGarry ’26, Jackson Moore ’26, Felix Goldmann ’25, Owen Myers ’27, and Jack Lambros ’26.
Bates finished third (5:45.520), followed by Williams (5:47.440), Wesleyan (5:50.870), and Colby (6:09.100).
